La Jolla

G and R are in La Jolla. R was silly and didn't bring a camera, so here are some shots of what they saw taken by other people.

Torrey Pines State Park. We went hiking here.

Sea Kayaking La Jolla Cove. Awesome. The best was how wet G got when we were "surfing" the kayak in to shore and the wave broke on his back. The tourguide was great and told us so much interesting stuff. But just getting to go ocean kayaking was fantastic.

This is paragliding from the Gliderport, which is a grassy area on top of a cliff. They pull up the parachute-thing like a big kite and take off. Or if the wind doesn't pull them up right away, they jump off the cliff. G says he doesn't have any interest in doing this. It was really fun to watch them take off, steer, and land. They could land on a dime. And it is a very soft landing.

La Jolla is my favorite place ... ever. If I could live anywhere in the US... it would be there! Fell in love with it 16 years ago when I went on my college graduation trip there!!!

So that's you in the para-hang-glider-chute-sail thing then, right? In the last picture? You are so brave! :)
