Twix

Our dear Twix died today. She had been losing weight and this last week she had a hard time walking. (These photos of her were taken about a year ago.) She was a noisy drinker -- we could always tell if it were her getting a drink of water. She loved broccoli and cucumbers. She chirped when we got out the peeler knowing that cucumber peels would soon follow. We loved her "mane" of hair, which we never cut because it looked so cool. She was soft and lovely to pet. In the past few months she became fond of M and even began to eat out of M's hand. We will remember her fondly.

She was 4 and a half years old. We got her on July 29, 2006 when she was about 5 weeks old. Snickery, who we got on Christmas 2004, is still with us but has a large tumor on her back. We are lucky that they both have lived so long. S says "She had a good carrot life."
