My Girls

A qualified for regional swimming! Here is the saga: since she is 12 she needed to swim a fast enough time that a 12 year old would qualify -- until we realized regionals is the day after her birthday. Actually she needs a qualifying time of the day of the event, so she has to swim fast enough to qualify as a 13 year old. And she did it last week! Go Roo!

Today was a gymnastics meet for M, where she did great. Last year her weak spot was tumbling. She has improved dramatically, and today she took 2nd place. A great example of what dedication, persistence and a lot of hard work can do.

I need to brag about S too. She is reading very well, and can now read the directions on the worksheets I give her to do. Grandma Rama shared some of her 1st grade teaching materials with us years ago when she retired and S is doing really well with them. Don't tell S, it goes to her head when she thinks she is doing 1st grade material. Since her school only teaches Spanish, it is my job to teach English, so she can't compare herself to her classmates.

Nice action shot of A! I showed my M the video of your M, and she said that she wanted to watch A too.

I'll try to take better footage of A. Swimming doesn't seem to be as action packed.
