half marthon
R ran her 6th half marathon. It finished at Hayward field.
Update: I finished the race in 1 hour and 47 minutes. My personal record is 1 hour and 45 minutes, so not bad for an aging body. Soon I'll be in an older category and then my standings will go up! The course was great despite my anticipating it not fun winding back and forth around the University and the South hills. Running past the finish line at mile 10 and watching the fast runners kick it in was slightly demoralizing, but undaunted I pressed forward. Perhaps the greatest victory was maintaining completely even splits: my first half was exactly the same amount of time as my second half.
