Great-Grandpa

Here we are with Great-Grandpa in December of 2006. This is at Great-Grandma's funeral. Great-Grandpa was 96 years old! He lived alone until the beginning of this year, when he put himself in the hospital just to get some help with some sores on his leg.

A funny story about him. When Great-Grandma was in the nursing home (she was there for a number of years), he would go visit her in his truck. Luckily, he could make a series of right-hand turns onto the freeway in rural Utah, and her rest home was at the next freeway exit, again a right hand turn off. Unfortunately, his eyesight was getting worse, but he assured us his distance vision was fine. It was just the cars right up close he couldn't see.
