Crater Lake

Yes, it is a spectacular blue! We took a boat tour of the lake and were fascinated to learn about the history and geology of Crater Lake. it is so blue because it is so clean and so deep (nearly 2000 feet deep). We should have had Mina bring her fishing pole. You are encouraged to fish -- no license, no limit, because they are trying to eradicate the non-native fish -- which is the primary polluter of the lake.
